The Reality Resort team thanks you for your patience as we continue to work hard on Episode 2. Speaking of which, here are some updates.
Resort Updates
October Release!
Episode 2 is officially in the animation pipeline. Barring any setbacks, we believe that the episode should be 100% complete by mid October. This will put us in range for a late October release. As a reminder, you can watch the episode 24 hours early by joining our Patreon! (disclaimer: because it is an eviction episode, only the Overlord tier will be able to watch early)
What to Expect
Episode 2 will be over 30 minutes as there is a lot of ground to cover to complete this first eviction cycle. You’ll watch the very first Nomination Ceremony go down and by the end of the episode, the first boot will be revealed during the Block Battle. Interwoven between these two events will be plenty of mingling, strategizing and bonding amongst the tourists.
Episodes 3-10
Should we have the funds to continue production, Episodes 3-10 will all be around 22 minutes long (not including the intro and credits) and follow a similar format. Episodes 3,5,7 and 9 will each start a new block, meaning we’ll watch both the Immunity Competition and Nomination Ceremony unfold. Meanwhile, Episodes 4,6,8, and 10 will showcase a Block Battle, evicting 4 more tourists and rounding out the Team Phase. (YouTube Channel Members plus Monarch and Overlord tiers will get to watch odd-numbered episodes 24 hours early. Overlord tier will get to watch every episode 24 hours early)
Animated Greetings
We are planning to officially announce “Animated Tourist Talks” (greetings) with the release of Episode 2, but we’re still workshopping how to make them unique and something worth purchasing in order to support not only the project, but the cast and crew as well. If you have any suggestions, please email us!
“Live Feeds” Clips
Coming soon to our YouTube channel: Reality Resort “Live Feeds”! Similar to Big Brother, our cameras capture moments you won’t see in the edited episodes. These animated clips, up to 60 seconds long, will offer extra context to conversations and events at the resort, deepening your understanding of the game. The first clip, a night 1 conversation between Cheryl and Kylie after their team’s win, will be available on YouTube. If the response is positive, we’ll continue posting a few clips between each episode - however, they’ll be posted 24 hours early for every Patreon tier. Additionally, higher paying patrons will receive one exclusive Live Feeds clip per month. These will be animated by an independent contractor, NOT Odd Nation Cartoons. (more information soon)
There will be one more newsletter with “Live Feed Updates” before Episode 2! It will serve as a recap of the previous ones, highlighting certain conversations and where the tourists are at in terms of the upcoming nomination ceremony. You can expect this 1-2 weeks before the episode drops!
