Reality Resort is an independently produced animated series that blends satire, drama, and competition, inspired by shows like Big Brother, The Challenge, and Total Drama Island. Reality Resort explores a rare corner of animation; the reality competition format.

What happens when you mix the chaos of reality TV with the precision of scripted storytelling? Reality Resort takes the familiar competition show framework - alliances, challenges, eliminations - and reimagines it as a fully animated, character-driven social experiment. In most reality shows, the story emerges in the edit. In animation, we get to design each moment from the ground up to build richer arcs, sharper twists, and endings that feel both surprising and earned. This approach lets us go deeper, exploring not just the game but the people inside it; their friendships, rivalries, strategies, and moments of vulnerability. Reality Resort thrives when the unpredictability of gameplay meets the craft of intentional storytelling, creating a show that’s as entertaining as it is meaningful and as heartfelt as it is competitive.

The Reality Project began as the passion project of Dan, known to fans as Cove, who has spent over a decade immersed in the worlds of reality competition shows and animation. Driven by a desire to merge the strategic intensity and emotional depth of reality TV with the creative freedom of animation, he founded The Reality Project - an indie studio dedicated to crafting character-driven stories that feel fresh, meaningful, and relatable. This vision led to the creation of the Reality Gauntlet, an ambitious, interconnected series of four competitions that form the heart of the project.
