🎉 Kickstarter Recap
Against the odds, we successfully funded Reality Resort through our Kickstarter campaign! Together, 237 of you pledged a total of $31,473 to keep the series alive, and we’re still floored by the support. This was never a guaranteed win, and with how tough crowdfunding has become, I wasn’t sure if we could pull it off. But thanks to your shares, your support, and your belief in this series, we did.
This means we now have the resources to finish Episodes 7-10, pay our team, and keep Reality Resort moving forward. Every pledge, big or small, helped push us over the finish line, and it’s a huge relief knowing we can keep telling this story with you.
Thank you for showing that there’s not only space but the desire for Reality Resort. As a reminder, if you backed the Kickstarter, please fill out the backer survey that was emailed to you ASAP. We can’t send your rewards, add your name to the credits, or finalize production planning without it. It only takes a minute, and getting your surveys in quickly helps us keep Reality Resort on schedule!
🎬 Production Updates
🔘 Episode 7 is underway!
We’re now one week into production on Episode 7, and about 12% of the episode is complete. Things are expected to ramp up this week, and we’re currently anticipating a late July/early August release if all goes to plan. We’ll be dropping the official Ep7 trailer in 2–3 weeks on Patreon, where paying members get it first, followed by free members. Make sure you’re registered on Patreon (even for a free membership) to watch the trailers!
🔘 Patreon support powers Reality Resort’s future!
We’ve expanded early access to episodes up to 48 hours for Overlord members and above (more on that in a minute), meaning you can now watch new episodes 2 days before anyone else. Paying Patreon members also get exclusive content up to 72 hours early, plus your name in the credits, special Discord roles and channels, and upcoming merch discounts.
We’re working hard to streamline our Patreon offerings because this is the lifeline for Reality Resort’s continued production. To sustainably produce episodes monthly, we need to significantly increase our Patreon support. We know it’s possible, and with your help, we can get there. We’re aiming for 150 paying members by the end of the year and, long-term, building to 400 members with a median support of $25/month would allow Reality Resort to continue indefinitely without major funding gaps.
Check out our new “Investor” tier, designed for those able to invest more heavily in the series’ future. This tier is not for the average supporter (don’t fret if it’s not for you!), but for those who want to directly fuel Reality Resort’s growth. These members get everything Overlord members get, plus a vesting schedule of perks: each month, you’ll unlock new rewards ranging from digital perks, physical apparel, your own character appearing in the show, and live discussions with me (Cove) about the series and its future seasons.
Plus, every paying member will receive 33% off character icons in our shop and Investor tier supporters get 50% off their first month if you join before the end of the year! We want to ensure our Patreon gives you real value while helping us grow the show. Let us know what else you’d love to see so we can build it together!
🔘 A brand new logo!
Lastly, you may have noticed that we ditched our old “TRP in a blue circle” logo. It served its purpose, but it didn’t capture what makes Reality Resort and our universe unique. Our new logo is inspired by the Legacy Idol — the totem used for invincibility or Legacy Points within our universe. This idol is a unifying mark that transcends all four shows in our ecosystem, making it the perfect symbol for our brand identity.
You’ll also notice the bird-like face built into the logo. This isn’t random — bird motifs have always been a part of Reality Resort (toucans, emus, Sealia the recurring seagull), and we felt that a bird symbolizes what these shows are about: birds are always watching from above, just as the cameras are always rolling in reality TV. It embodies the observation, chaos, and sharp-eyed spirit of our series while visually aligning us with the world we’ve built.
