🏝️ Fraudulent Charge
Turns out, our hot start was a little too good to be true! We received a $10,000 pledge for a $25 tier (an extra $9,975!). While generous, we know that there is a common scam amongst Kickstarter campaigns where people will pledge with faulty or fraudulent credit cards. There’s really no benefit in doing so outside of harming the campaign.
So, we had it investigated by Kickstarter and they deemed the pledge to have been made in bad faith, promptly removing it from our campaign. While unfortunate, we are grateful that we caught this early as it could have spelled disaster later on in the campaign.
Still, over $6,000 in 28 hours is an amazing accomplishment and we can’t wait to see how it continues to develop! We’re appreciative of all the support — let’s continue the positive momentum and keep this thing going!
