Resort Updates
Day 4 (9:57pm): Topaz is joined by Brad, Cheryl and Kylie in the kitchen, celebrating her victory over Seth in the first Block Battle. The girls talk about how badass Topaz’s win was while Brad appears concerned over how Seth handled the competition and portrayed himself. (“Dude’s got a lot to work on. It sucks that this show is probably gonna ruin his chances of making the majors.”)
Day 5 (7:47am): Tino meets Monica in the gym after the latter expressed a desire to be in tip-top shape for competitions. As Tino starts to put a routine together for her, Monica wonders what people will choose to prioritize for nominations: competition prowess, competition liability or social standing. Tino, not listening, turns around to start training her. (“Drop and give me twenty! If you want to be on Hulkan Knows Best, then you need to push yourself to the limit!”)
Day 5 (8:03am): Isadore begrudgingly sits next to Analise by the pool, uninterested in conversation. After a few seconds of awkward silence, Isadore decides to ask Analise her thoughts on how the Block Battle went down the night before. (“Oh, um, it was rather boring. Seth was nice to me, so sucks that he’s gone.”) Isadore rolls her eyes.
Day 5 (8:14am): Sarah walks into the library where Vijay seems to be playing chess by himself. She awkwardly tries to excuse herself, not wanting to bother him, but he invites her over. After a few moves, Vijay tells Sarah that he’s only ever seen her in the library and that she needs to start socializing more. (“I … I know you’re right. This is just way more challenging than I thought it would be …”)
Day 5 (8:36am): Finn is looking at the mirror inside the bathroom, trying to give himself a pep talk. (“C’mon Finn, focus up! Get over this heartbreak hootenanny. Can’t let that sour this here opportunity!”). Charles walks in, a tad embarrassed that he overheard Finn’s monologue, but offers up some advice which Finn seems to take open-mindedly.
Day 5 (8:52am): Olive and Marcus can’t seem to find an organic way to leave the Loser’s Lounge where Drew is rambling about the fact that he thinks this entire game is a simulation. The two exchange annoyed glances when Drew starts to explain his theories about the resort layout. (“It all starts with the decision to have the Winner’s Wing located right next to the Library … there must be a secret door somewhere in here!”)
